POSCO Group offered 10,000 cool scarves to the Jamboree site through the Korea Disaster Relief Association on Aug. 4

POSCO E&C operated an experience booth to promote the importance of the marine environment at the campsite in Saemangeum. The booth served as a shelter to cool off from the heat, and equipped with a large air conditioner, and ice water was provided to visitors

POSCO Group decided to provide the Residence Hall of POSCO Global R&D Center in Songdo for 4 nights and 5 days from Aug. 8 as an accommodation for 160 Italian scout delegation to contribute to the successful hosting of the 25th World Scout Jamboree 2023.

This decision was made quickly with the aim of providing all necessary support to help World Scout Jamboree participants who moved from Saemangeum to the Seoul metropolitan area to relax in a safe and comfortable space during the remainder of the event.

The Residence Hall in Songdo is a hotel-style accommodation for POSCO Group employees involved in training, and can accommodate up to 200 people a day. POSCO Group also plans to provide high-quality meals for the scout delegation from Italy during their stay.

On Aug. 4, POSCO Group offered 10,000 cool scarves to the Jamboree site through the Korea Disaster Relief Association.

In addition, POSCO E&C has been operating an experience booth to promote the importance of tidal flats and the marine environment at the campsite in Saemangeum since Aug. 2, and provided ice water to visitors. The POSCO E&C booth, with a large air conditioner, served as a shelter for Jamboree members to take a rest in the sweltering heat. POSCO E&C also offered 1,100 cool scarves to the Jamboree organizing committee and volunteers on the first day of the event.

Meanwhile, POSCO E&C provided educational materials on blue carbon and the flora and fauna of tidal flats in the booth, and also operated an upcycling experience program using marine debris including discarded nets.
